Telephoto Times

My friend Steve let me use his telephoto lens for a Christmas trip. So of course I had to practice prior to the trip . . . the following are some of the results of my efforts to master the lens. By the way . . . this is Afi. Afi is short for Afikomen. Afikomen is Greek for desert, and it is also the term used for the Matzo hidden during the Pesach [Passover] Sedar. I bet you will never guess when Afi joined our family, but enough about Afi . . . he is pretty isn't he!

Back to the photos . . . I hope you enjoy the view as much as I enjoyed the experience.

Let me know what you think.

And now this is the end of the tale or should I say Tail.

Until next time . . .

Venutian Real Estate License

Although my personal real estate license is limited to the State of Indiana; I am now offering for a limited time only a special Venutian Real Estate License. This license unlike the typical Earthly American style license is not limited to real estate on the Planet Venus.

I am sure that you have heard of the infamous literary marvel Women are from Venus; Men are from Mars [or is that the other way around?]. Well, this license understands not only the concept, but the fact that Venus is filled with beauty. Therefore, the Venutian Real Estate License is now available for the procurement of Heavenly Bodies. This is actually a celestial license since it is not limited to the Heavenly Bodies found on Venus. The holder of the license may buy, sell, and/or rent Heavenly Bodies as he or she desires.

If you would like to apply for a license . . . it is easy. “NO CLASS” required. Simply send me a Hundred Dollars [in unmarked twenties], and I will provide you with a license. Please note this is simply a license, not a get out of jail free card. Your activities and endeavors are of a personal business matter, and not subject to my personal standards.

Now you may be thinking . . . what does this posting have to do with the normal commentary found here . . . well, I am glad that you thought that. This satirical moment was and is a response to my eldest son’s commentary on his blog of December 8, 2006.

Bobby's in the House!

This sweet little guy makes the energizer bunny look like and old worn out toy that does not even have enough play left in it to give to Goodwill.

Mr. Bobby arrived in Indianapolis late Friday evening and just headed back to KY around 2PM Sunday . . . He never slowed down, and I think he is still going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going!

Don't get me wrong . . . is also a charmer and a half. His big eyes get him anything and everything he wants. As if the eyes are not enough he has this smile accompanied by a hug and a kiss that are nothing less then KILLER. If ever have a chance to get a sales person half as good as this 3 year old . . . I am hiring him/her on the spot. You just can not say, "NO" to this little guy.

Of course as science has so well explained to us; for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction. And a reaction was a result of a weekend with Bobby.

I know I will never be the same . . . well, maybe after a week of sleep, and a few extra naps for good measure...

Not Everything is the way it appears

Just in case you did not already know . . . all the photos in this blog to date have been taken by me, and yes, this is a photo.

So exactly what do you see? I ask that because our eyes and our mind do not always work in harmony. We are distracted by color, by warmth, by texture, as well as the lack thereof. Unfortunatly, these distractions are not limited to photos.

Over the past six years I have been distracted by individuals who just like the photos made B&W appear as "FACT", but when you add the true color . . . things begin to appear in a totally different light.

The Road Less Taken

How many times have you driven down this road? I am willing to bet more times then you can count if you live on the northwest side of Indy.

I am also willing to bet that you never saw it like this. How often do we walk by the way . . . drive down the road, and never notice beauty made invisible by our rush through life. Forget taking time to smell the roses . . . do we even notice the trees?

So let me know where you think this hidden treasure is located.

I am sure that you have heard the story of Moses and the Burning Bush. The fire that refused to consume the bush as Moses stood bare foot before G-d. So where am I going with this story from Exodus? I was driving from one side of town to the other when I could not help but notice the firey red shrubs that comsumed my attention, and overshadowed everything in its path. I found it amusing that it was located along side of a church in a Jewish neighborhood.

Ok, I won't make you guess twice in one posting. This beautiful icy read bush was photographed on the north east corner of 86th and Spring Mill Road at 5PM on a Thursday afternoon.

This burning bush did not provide any additional commandments . . . except that maybe there is more to Rush Hour then just leaving the work-a-day world to rush through dinner, and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.

I keep think of how long it was between grading periods in elementry school . . . forever! Now it is December 6, 2006, I am 52 years old, and I am not sure where the time went. I can barely make a day last 24 hours. When did the time change? How do 60 seconds go so much faster now then years ago? Is it Global Warming? Who can I blame?

Things are Looking UP

Yes, I know . . . most people talking about real estate begin looking either across the land or down at it, but as I said . . . this is not a typical real estate blog.

Although I spend the majority of my day buy and selling real estate for a number of different people; this blog is not about the purchase or sale of G-d's Green Earth, but more about the Real Estate that is not available for purchase. This site is about the real estate that can only be experienced in the moment, and only for that moment in time when you are open to behold its beauty. Ok, so its a bunch of pictures that make me feel good, and some that just make me think.

A Few Facts

Let's start with a few facts . . . I do not smoke, I have 3 sons not just 2, and I am the good looking one in the middle.

After reviewing Jeremy and Daniel's Blogs I decided that it was time to begin my own . . . after all it is the 21st Century. As a Real Estate Broker ~ Naturally Real Estate ~ was the obvious choice for a site, but naturally real estate may not be what you were thinking . . .
